My Chains Are Gone!

“I just feel like someone needs to hear this. If God has healed you of something, your chains are broken. You need to know that they truly are broken and you truly are free. So shake off your chains and move forward!”

The man who spoke these words one night at church did not know why he was supposed to say them… but I did. I’m sure there were others who needed them as well, but at that moment, it was just God and me.

Have you ever had a moment when you thought all your hard work was for naught? I have prayed for something before only to have the situation get worse before it gets better. Why is that? Because the enemy knows that when we go boldly to the throne room of grace, amazing things happen!

So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.  ~John 8:36 (Amplified Version)

My healing came and my life changed. My chains were broken. My chains were gone. Things started to get better. They got so much better that they began to get worse. Why? Because I was finally able to stand for what I believe in and not back down because of intimidation. I was finally able to talk about the things that kept me hiding in the pit of depression. I was beginning to tell others about the hope I have, and that they can have in trusting Jesus... And the enemy got threatened by it. So he began to throw darts at me.

At first the darts just bounced off. And don’t you know that if an enemy attacks and doesn’t succeed, they are going to come back with bigger and better fighting power. This last round of fighting power caused me to stumble. But hang on just a minute. I may stumble, but even if I fall, I still come out the winner! So do you!

We often get sidetracked by enemy attack. Oh it may not seem like an enemy attack at first. At first it may seem like a friend has turned her back on you for no reason. It may seem like family has shunned you. You may feel like everyone around you is running you into the ground. Yes, it’s hurtful, but remember that Jesus went through the same things. He understands. And He has provided for you a safe tower to run to. Him.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong. ~Proverbs 18:10 (Amplified Version) (emphasis mine)
For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me, a strong tower against the adversary. ~Psalm 61:3 (Amplified Version) (emphasis mine)

Yes things are changing. Is that really so awful bad? If you think about it these things are just temporary. And the changes that are happening could just prove to be God rearranging your life so that He can do something wonderfully amazing. Your chains have been broken. Sweep the pieces up and throw them in the trash where they belong.  Then watch and listen because I believe God is getting ready to do something powerful. You don’t want to miss it!
