Just to give you an example, the chorus is as follows:
You are wanted. To every broken heart, He stands with open arms. You are wanted. To every searching soul, look to the Rising Son!If you're lonely, hurting, gone too far. To the outcast you come as you are. You, you are wantedYou, you are wanted. You, you are wanted. You, you are wanted!
How much more plain can it get? Jesus stands with open arms, waiting for you to run into them. He won't press you. He won't force you. He won't even make you. The decision is totally up to you. Accept Him... or not. But how many people don't?
It breaks my heart to see people hurting, especially children. I can't stand it. People hurt people. And hurting people hurt people usually the worst. I grew up in an environment where I was continually told that my issues and my hurts were my own fault. Even though I did not do anything to cause them, still they were said to be my fault.
There are many people today who still believe that their problems are their fault. They have been told they were a mistake. They were told they were no good. They were told they were worthless. In hearing these things, they wonder why they were even born! And sadly...very sadly...many take matters into their own hands in order to rid the population of their own existence! I can't stand by anymore and allow that to happen!
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. ~Ephesians 1:4, NLT
For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. ~2 Timothy 1:9, NLT (emphasis added)
When God healed me, He set in motion a series of events that first led me to a remarkable friendship with the Holy Spirit. Then He gave me my heart's desire for writing, by allowing me to create this blog/website, which came with an awesome ministry. From that, He built this ministry which has allowed me to use mismatched socks to encourage and give hope to other women who have suffered mental and emotional abuse, and let them know that they are definitely wanted by the Most High! From this, God has begun to move me up to another level and into sharing my story by speaking and preaching to groups of people who need encouragement.
This is in no way bragging on me. None of this would have happened if God had not been standing there, waiting for me to make the choice to be healed. But even just making the choice came with a decision to step forward and ASK. You can say, "I want to be healed." But unless you humbly go to God and ask Him, then receive it, nothing will happen. Healing is a two-way street. God wants to heal, you have to ask for it and accept it.
You were no accident. You were no mistake. God doesn't make mistakes. Your parents didn't make a mistake when you were conceived. It was all orchestrated by God! Why? Because you were wanted!
