Let Go of the Rope

God is so utterly amazing!
I know that you know this. But I wanted to reiterate the fact that He is…so utterly amazing! My reason for the exuberance today is just that after coming out of a particularly ridiculous spiritual battle, I discover subtle, little messages from God tucked away in various places. He’s cool like that, God. He reminds me of who I am, who He is, where I came from, and where I’m going. And even cooler still is that He reminds me that He’s been with me the whole time.

Let Go Of The Rope!
Are you in a place today where you feel beat down? Do you feel unwanted, unloved, depressed, intimidated, or maybe even at the end of your rope? I’m not here to tell you to tie a knot in the end and hang on. Nope. I won’t do that. Instead, I want to tell you to LET GO! Just let go. Because chances are you’re within a couple feet of the ground.

But the rope can’t save you. Jesus can. And He wants to. Jesus is standing below that rope you’re hanging onto for dear life. All you have to do is let go. Let go of the depression. Let go of the intimidation. Let go of past hurts. Let go of the anger, the frustration, the diagnosis, the disappointment, the fear. Let go of it all and let Jesus catch you. He won’t miss. He won’t drop you. And He definitely won’t let you go.

Put Your Foot Down!
Look, the enemy (that’s Satan) wants you to believe that there’s no hope for you. He wants you to believe that there’s no healing for you. He would just rather you believe that nothing and no one cares and that you might as well just give up. But he is a bold faced liar and he has absolutely no power to overtake you. You might think all that junk in your life is about to overtake you, but it isn’t. Because if you’ll just put your foot down, you’ll find you’re on a Solid Rock, Jesus.

I lived in misery for over forty years when I could have just reached out, let go of my rope, put my foot down, and I would have discovered that Jesus was standing inches away with His arms outstretched, waiting to catch me. But I was too afraid. I was convinced that I was hopeless, a lost cause. So I lived it. I lived it to the point that I became nearly nonfunctional mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Yet there was a tiny, tiny little light in the distance I could barely see, and a muffled voice that I thought might be calling out to me. Then one night, in a desperate grasp for hope and healing I reached out. And instead of me grabbing onto something, Someone grabbed onto me. And I was healed.

You Are Not A Lost Cause
You are not a lost cause, dear lovelies. You are not beyond hope. Hope is waiting for you. Healing is waiting for you. Stand back up! You are closer than you think to the life you were meant to live. Jesus is waiting to give you back your life and He wants to make it so full of abundance that you won’t know what to do with it all. Oh precious one, there is so much more to your life than you even dreamed.

You Are Extraordinary!
There’s a desire deep within you that God wants to bring forth and grow. It’s not a stupid idea. It’s not out of your reach. That dream, that desire, is your purpose. Hand it over to God and let Him give you back more than you thought was even possible. It might seem scary. It might seem out of the ordinary. We aren’t dealing with an ordinary God! We are dealing with an out-of-the-box God. A God Who wants to take our ordinary and make it extraordinary! You have big dreams, but God has an even bigger dream for you. A better dream. You won’t be losing anything. You’ll be gaining more. Oh how awesome and wonderful God is!

Trust me lovelies, that water you’re treading is shallow. That rope you’re hanging onto is close to the ground. Let go, stand up, live the life you were meant to live. Reach out to the Lord and you’ll realize He’s been closer than you thought the whole time.
